Claude AI and Canva Integration

Claude AI, developed by Anthropic, has announced its integration with Canva, a popular visual studio. This integration allows users to create and edit designs directly within an AI chat, leveraging Canva’s tools and features.

The integration is made possible by a Canva server that utilises Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP). With this functionality, Claude can generate designs, search for materials within a user’s Canva workspace, and more.

It is worth noting that this functionality requires a paid subscription to Claude, and access may vary depending on the user’s Canva plan.

Anthropic’s MCP has been gaining traction, with multiple artificial intelligence platforms adopting the protocol to connect their models to various applications. Recently, Wiley and Panopto have created MCP servers to connect to Claude, further expanding the ecosystem.

Anthropic has also introduced a directory of platforms that utilise its MCP technology, allowing users to discover and access remote services and local apps that connect to Claude. However, subscriptions are required for the remote connectors.
