Meta has appointed Connor Hayes, Meta’s VP of Product for Generative AI, to become the head of Threads. Previously, Instagram head Adam Mosseri was in charge of Threads. However, the platform has grown into more than a side product of Instagram, necessitating additional leadership.
Threads has shown significant growth since its launch, with its mobile daily active user numbers fast approaching those of X, according to market intelligence provider Similarweb. Currently, Threads is averaging around 115 million daily active users on mobile, with X’s daily active user numbers reaching around 132 million.
