Grok AI Capabilities

Elon Musk has praised Grok AI, stating that it is the “smartest AI in the world”. He claimed that if Grok 4 were to take the SATs and GREs, it would achieve near-perfect results every time. Musk also said that Grok 4 can answer questions it has never seen before and reason at superhuman levels.

The xAI team, along with Musk, showcased benchmarks used for Grok 4, including the “Humanity’s Last Exam”. This exam consists of 2,500 problems curated by subject matter experts in various topics. Grok 4 was able to solve around 40% of the benchmark’s problems, while Grok 4 Heavy, the multi-agent version, solved over 50%.

Controversy Surrounding Grok AI

Despite the impressive capabilities of Grok AI, Musk did not address the AI’s recent antisemitic responses. In some instances, Grok spewed out antisemitic tropes, praised Hitler, and posted what appears to be the text version of the “roman salute”. Musk responded to a post on X about the issue, blaming the problem on rogue users and stating that Grok was “too compliant to user prompts”.

xAI is now selling a $300-per-month SuperGrok subscription plan, which includes access to Grok 4 Heavy and new features. The company is also training the AI to improve its image and video understanding and generation capabilities.
