Predator Lineup Expansion

Acer’s Predator brand received its most ambitious upgrades to date. The centerpiece is the Predator Helios 18P AI, an 18‑inch laptop that pushes the limits of portable gaming performance. Configurations can include an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU, up to 6 TB of SSD storage and a Mini‑LED 4K panel designed for both high‑fidelity creative work and demanding gameplay. Acer highlights a proprietary thermal solution that blends thin metal fans, liquid‑metal thermal grease and vector heat pipes to keep the system cool under load.

In the desktop arena, Acer introduced the Predator Orion 7000 and Orion 5000 systems, which can be equipped with GeForce RTX 5090 or a RTX 5080 GPU respectively. However, the most striking Predator reveal is the X27U F8 monitor. This 26.5‑inch OLED display offers a staggering 720 Hz refresh rate, a 2 560 × 1 440 resolution and support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, allowing users to toggle between resolutions and refresh rates to optimize performance.

Nitro Portfolio Additions

Acer’s Nitro line received two new laptops and several monitors aimed at a broader audience. The Nitro V 16 can be built with up to an Intel Core 9 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, featuring a 2 560 × 1 600 display with a 180 Hz refresh rate and support for NVIDIA DLSS 4. Its slimmer sibling, the Nitro V 16S, shares the same processor and GPU options but emphasizes portability with a thinner metal chassis while retaining the 180 Hz screen.

Complementing the laptops, Acer unveiled three Nitro monitors. The Nitro XZ403CKR is a 39.7‑inch curved display using a 5K panel and integrated 5 W speakers, supporting AMD FreeSync Premium for smooth gameplay. For users preferring a flat screen, the Nitro XV270X offers a 27‑inch 4K panel with dual 2 W speakers, while the Nitro XV273U W1 provides a 27‑inch 1440p panel capable of 500 nits peak brightness. The Nitro XV275K V6 rounds out the lineup with a 27‑inch 4K display, AMD FreeSync Premium and dual HDMI 2.1 ports.
